In the Beginning...

Welcome to 'The Rational Human'. It may seem like a strange time of year to begin writing articles but there is a REASON that today is the beginning. For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, the 21st of December 2013 is Winter Solstice. The time of year when daylight is at its shortest. From this point on, the days will start to become longer, a consequence of the sun appearing higher overhead in the sky. It is literally 'the coming of the light'.
